Principal's Message

Dear Kenter Canyon Families, Students, and Staff,

 

As we close another remarkable school year, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to every member of our school community. Together, we have experienced a year filled with learning, growth, achievement, celebration, and connection.

 

Our students have demonstrated tremendous academic success. Preliminary SBAC results show that at least half of the students in all participating grade levels performed at the Advanced level of academic proficiency. In Grade 3, 51% of students achieved Advanced in Mathematics and 58% in English Language Arts. Grade 4 students earned 53% Advanced in Mathematics and 51% in English Language Arts. Our Grade 5 students reached an extraordinary milestone, with 69% performing at the Advanced level in Mathematics and 72% in English Language Arts, while 53% achieved Advanced in Science. These accomplishments reflect the dedication of our students, the expertise of our teachers, and the unwavering support of our families.

 

Beyond academics, this year was filled with memorable experiences that showcased the unique spirit of Kenter Canyon. From classroom learning and enrichment opportunities to performances, fairs, celebrations, leadership activities, and community events, our students embraced opportunities to learn, create, collaborate, and shine.

 

What makes Kenter truly special is our community. We celebrate the traditions of the Kenter Coyotes, the kindness we show one another, and the strong sense of belonging that unites us. Our students, families, and staff continue to demonstrate that a positive, caring, and supportive school culture is one of our greatest strengths.

 

As summer begins, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy well-deserved moments with family and friends. May your summer be filled with adventures, discoveries, learning, exploration, laughter, and joyful memories. Whether you are traveling to new places, enjoying time at home, reading a great book, exploring nature, or simply spending time with loved ones, I hope the coming months bring renewal and inspiration.

 

Thank you for another outstanding year. It is a privilege to serve as your principal and to be part of this exceptional community. I look forward to welcoming our Coyotes back in the fall, refreshed and ready for another year of learning and success.
